We offer freshly pressed, untreated organic flaxseed oil* from the Solling oil mill.
The oil mill presses regularly at least once a week, so that absolute freshness is guaranteed.
Please note:
Although the oil still tastes good 14 weeks after bottling, the internal quality decreases over time, so that all flaxseed oils should be consumed within 4 to 6 weeks after bottling. If you have bought multiple bottles of flaxseed oil, freeze the oil bottles and take the bottles out of the freezer as needed. Freezing does not change the quality.
Already with 1 to 2 tablespoons you cover an adult's daily requirement of omega-3 fatty acids. Dr. Feil Speieseinöl contains about 50 % omega 3 fatty acids.
Shelf life tips: Once it smells fishy or rancid, flaxseed oil should no longer be used. But then it is still suitable as varnish for wooden furniture, because linseed oil resinifies in the air, i.e. it forms a thin, crack-free protective film.
